Using Maintenance Information to Optimize an Aircrafts Value
10/1/2014 10:00 AM - 11:00 AM
Online seminar Fremont, California United States
Event Listing
Summary:

Overview

The days when an aircraft's maintenance quality was classified as "good" or "bad" based on the "mid-time / mid-life" flight hours and cycles of its major components has today been overshadowed by computing power that is able to process vast amounts of maintenance data, covering the entire aircraft, to deliver timely, quantifiable, actionable financial information.

Detailed maintenance analytics are not simple to derive, but they are not difficult to obtain and need not be expensive. In any transaction, such information is available to all interested parties, including the buyer, seller, financial services company, and even the insurer, along with impartial parties such as appraisers. Utilizing such information, along with detailed knowledge of market trends, an aircraft owner can create both a short and long-range strategy to optimize their investment's "value." Because you cannot manage what you cannot measure, any strategy designed to optimize asset value should be based on objective metrics and evaluate an aircraft on multiple levels. Additionally, maintenance analytics must be based on a standardized scale to permit a direct comparison between similar aircraft, as well as different make / model aircraft.
