The Model-View-ViewModel (MVVM) pattern is fundamental for WPF and

Silverlight developers. As the world embraces HTML5/JS applications, C#/VB/XAML developers must to learn how to leverage existing skill sets in this new paradigm.

Jason Beres will teach developers how to implement the MVVM pattern in HTML5/JavaScript using the Knockout JS library.

Key topics covered include a review of MVVM Fundamentals, a walkthrough of simple WPF MVVM line-of-business application, an introduction to the Knockout JS library and a walkthrough of an HTML5/JS version of the WPF MVVM line-of-business application.

Previously we have had a few sessions on developing applications with MVVM. (Caliburn.Micro with Ian Randall, WinRT with David Burela, and Jordan Knight showing a MVVM framework he developed for Xamling).

This talk continues that trend showing how to apply it towards web development.

Jason Beres is a Microsoft MVP and is the "Vice President, Developer Tools" at Infragistics.
