Providing quantitative indicators on business regulations and the protection of property rights, regulations affecting 10 stages of a business’s life are measured. The report compares 178 economies (over time) ranging from Afghanistan to Zimbabwe.

Is it easier to do business in Eastern Europe or East Asia? Which countries dominate the list of top performers in 2006/07 and which countries are adopting and promoting the greatest reform in their country to drive a new and robust economic engine?
