Review of the FY 2013 budgets for the Small Business Administration (SBA) and National Institute of Standards and Technology are among the hearings scheduled on the House side. Budgets for FY 2013 are starting to get a look on Capitol Hill this week. Two hearings held by the House Committee on Science, Space and Technology are of particular interest. On Tuesday, the budget for the National Science Foundation is being presented. Later in the week, Secretary of Energy Steven Chu walks through the Department of Energy R&D budget.
A new startup aimed at engaging the American public in the legislative process is shining a light on a handful of bills that could have a direct impact on entrepreneurship throughout the US.
President Obama’s overall proposed budget for FY 2013 is the highlight for a number of hearings in the week ahead, including the Budget Committees on both sides of the Capitol.
