As CEO of SpikeSource, Kim Polese is responsible for guiding the company's business vision: to make open source safe for the enterprise. Prior to SpikeSource, Kim co-founded Marimba in 1996, and as President and CEO she
led the company through a successful public offering and to profitability. She then served as Chairman until Marimba's acquisition by BMC Software in April 2004. Before co-founding Marimba, Kim worked at Sun Microsystems and was the
original product manager for Java, leading its launch in March 1995. Prior to Java, Kim worked in Sun's software division on object-oriented development environments. Previously, she worked at Intellicorp Inc., helping Fortune 500 firms
implement expert systems. Kim earned a Bachelor's degree in Biophysics from U.C. Berkeley and studied Computer Science at the University of Washington, Seattle. Kim serves on the executive council of TechNet, a bipartisan coalition of
executives focused on the growth of the technology industry and economy, on the board of the Global Security Institute, and the University of California President's Board on Science and Innovation. She is a Fellow at Carnegie Mellon

Kim Popovits has served as President and Chief Operating Officer since February 2002, and as a director since March 2002. From November 1987 to February 2002, Kim served in various roles at Genentech, Inc., a
biotechnology company, most recently as Senior Vice President, Marketing and Sales from February 2001 to February 2002, and as Vice President, Sales from October 1994 to February 2001. Prior to joining Genentech in November 1987, she
served as Division Manager for American Critical Care, a Division of American Hospital Supply. Kim holds a BA in Business from Michigan State University.
Thomas Prescott, CEO of medical device manufacturer Align Technology, discusses disruptive product innovation and leadership in the medical device industry. As group vice president of Productivity and Business Services (PBS) at Microsoft Corp., Jeff Raikes is responsible for Microsoft's Information Worker Business Group (IWBG). He also oversees products and sales for small
and midmarket customers and partners, and the company's licensing programs for organizations. In addition, Raikes manages the Business Solutions Group and the Small and Midmarket Solutions and Partners group. Previously, Raikes was group
vice president of the Worldwide Sales and Support Group, responsible for providing strategic leadership for Microsoft's sales, marketing and service initiatives. Before that, he served as senior vice president of Microsoft North America, a
position he had held since 1993. Raikes joined Microsoft in 1981 as a product manager and was instrumental in driving Microsoft's applications marketing strategy. Promoted to director of Applications Marketing in 1984, he was the chief
strategist behind Microsoft's success in graphical applications for the Apple Macintosh and the Microsoft Windows operating system. In this role, he drove the product strategy and design of Microsoft Office, the leading business
productivity suite. Raikes was promoted to vice president of Office Systems, where he was responsible for development and marketing of word processing, workgroup applications and pen computing. Before joining Microsoft, he was a software
development manager at Apple Computer Inc. For contributions to the software industry in the development of Microsoft Office, and in developing opportunities through the Solution Provider program and other innovative efforts, Raikes was
inducted into Computer Reseller News Magazine's Computer Industry Hall of Fame in November 2003. Raikes holds a bachelor's degree in engineering and economic systems from Stanford University. He served on the board of directors of the

Kavita N. Ramdas has won numerous awards for her vision and advancement of an inclusive philanthropy in which donors and grantees are treated as equal partners. In 2005, Kavita received the Juliette Gordon Low Award for
her significant contributions to advancing women's human rights and for being exemplary role model for girls and women. In 2004, Financial Women's Association named Kavita Woman of the Year for the Public Sector; and Women and Philanthropy
gave her the LEAD (Leadership for Equity and Diversity) Award for her championship and commitment to funding the global human rights of women and girls. KQED public television recognized her as a 2004 Bay Area Local Hero. She serves on the
Board of Trustees of Mount Holyoke College, Massachusetts, and the Board of Directors of the Rural Development Institute, Washington state. She is a member of the Advisory Council to the Ethical Globalization Initiative, a venture of Mary
Robinson, former UN High Commissioner for Human Rights. She also serves on the Council of Advisors on Gender Equity to the Woodrow Wilson School at Princeton University and the Women's Rights Prize of the Gruber Foundation. Before joining
the Global Fund, Kavita supported both domestic and international initiatives in economic development and population as a program officer at the John D. and Catherine T. MacArthur Foundation in Chicago, Illinois. She earned a master's
degree in international development and public policy at the Woodrow Wilson School of Public and International Affairs at Princeton University, and a BA at Mount Holyoke College. Kavita was born and raised in India, and speaks Urdu, Hindi,
English, German, French and Spanish.
Karen Richardson's 20-year career in the software business includes positions as a key player in several well-known and highly successful companies. Prior to joining E.piphany, Karen held senior sales positions at
Netscape Communications Corporation from 1995-1998, during which time Netscape's sales grew from $80 million to over $500 million annually. Karen was instrumental in establishing Netscape's presence in the enterprise in verticals such as
Telecommunications, Financial Services and Media/Communications. Prior to her position at Netscape, Karen was VP of Worldwide Sales at Collabra Software, Inc.; worked for four years with Lotus Development Corporation in a variety of sales
and marketing roles as well as at cc:Mail, and 3Com Corporation. Karen holds a BS in Industrial Engineering from Stanford University and award distinctions from the Stanford Industrial Engineering Department and the American Institute of
Industrial Engineers (AIIE).
Frank Ricks is a founding principal of Looney Ricks Kiss Architects. Since its inception in 1983, the firm has evolved into a multi- disciplinary design firm with offices in seven cities. He leads the firm's search for
opportunities to create places of purpose, ranging from individual buildings to entire neighborhoods. As managing principal of the firm, Frank has helped shape and maintain the firm's culture of creativity, leadership and collaboration. In

Eric Ries is the author of the blog Lessons Learned. He was the co-founder and served as Chief Technology Officer of IMVU, his third startup. He is the co-author of several books including The Black Art of Java Game Programming (Waite Group Press, 1996). In 2007, BusinessWeek named Ries one of the Best Young
Entrepreneurs of Tech. He serves on the advisory board of a number of technology startups including pbWiki, Smule, 750i and KaChing.
Dr. Ringold was most recently CEO of the Glaxo-Wellcome Group's Affymax Research Institute, where he managed the development of novel technologies to accelerate the pace of drug discovery. He is a co-founder and director
of Maxygen Corporation, a Managing Partner of Technogen Associates, L.P., a private investment firm, and has over fifteen years of experience managing the discovery and development of pharmaceuticals and novel, enabling life science
technologies. Prior to Affymax, Dr. Ringold served as Director and Vice President of the Institute for Cancer and Developmental Biology at Syntex, now a division of Hoffman La-Roche. Dr. Ringold received his B.A. in Biology from UC Santa
Cruz, and his Ph.D. in Microbiology from UC San Francisco. He was on the faculty of the Department of Pharmacology at the Stanford University School of Medicine, and is currently a consulting professor there.
Anand Chandrasekaran brings a unique background that combines deep expertise and operating skills in mobile applications, consumer media and enterprise software. In 2001, he co- founded Aeroprise Inc. the world's most
deployed mobility software for Service Management. Anand wrote the original business plan, helped architect and launch the award-winning Aeroprise product suite and ran marketing/inside sales through bootstrapped and VC-funded phases to
build the company into a leader in enterprise mobility. Aeroprise customers include the Dept. of Homeland Security, theHartford, IBM, Bureau of A.T.F., Safeway, U.S. Air Force, Harvard University and DirecTV. He was on the Aeroprise Board
between 2001-2006 and an advisor to the Mobile Enterprise Alliance (MEA), an industry-forum promoting mobility standards amongst enterprises which included over 1000 member organizations.
