What is a pivot?

What is a pivot?

In entrepreneurship, a pivot occurs when a startup changes its business model. A pivot can results in a completely different company, or it can help a startup to reach the next level of growth.

Pivots are common for early-stage companies. Businesses including Groupon, PayPal, and Starbucks have all gone through pivots, according to Forbes.
