The mission of the Small Business Center is to increase the success rate and the number of viable small businesses in Guilford County by providing high quality, readily accessible assistance to prospective and existing small business owners and their employees. We provide a number of seminars, workshops and classes on topics such as Financing Opportunities, Writing a Business Plan, Marketing Strategies and Tactics, and HR issues. We also offer free, confidential one-to-one counseling to help refine your business plan and develop financial projections.

DGI is focused on stimulating interest and activity in Downtown Greensboro, North Carolina. The organization maintains a listing of properties available for lease or sale and works closely with prospective investors for projects ranging from 1,000 square feet storefronts to ten acre mixed use redevelopment sites. DGI is governed by a 33 member Board of Directors and works closely with local government.

E-Verify Self Check ("Self Check"), a service that allows you to check your employment eligibility in the United States. Once you have confirmed your employment eligibility using Self Check, you are unlikely to encounter difficulties upon being hired by an E-Verify participating employer.

The IRS Small Business/Self-Employed Tax Center provides a one-stop resource of information to small businesses with assets of $10 million or less to assist them with meeting their federal tax obligations.

The Arkansas Small Business and Technology Development Center (ASBTDC) is a University-based economic development program which provides assistance to entrepreneurs and small businesses throughout Arkansas via a statewide network of seven offices.
