The College of Business is the home of the Delta Center for Economic Development. The Center coordinates the economic development outreach services of the university and works to provide a comprehensive approach to serving the businesses, governments, and citizens of Arkansas. The Delta Center is located on the Jonesboro campus of Arkansas State University in a recently completed 22,000 sq. ft. facility with corporate level conference space. Services offered through the Delta Center range from helping to retool today’s workforce to training current and future leaders of Arkansas corporations. The Delta Center is also home to economic development partner organizations like the Small Business Technology Development Center, an information and research service provided by the Small Business Administration, Arkansas Manufacturing Solutions a program of the Arkansas Science and Technology Authority, and most recently alt Consulting. This consulting group is a non-profit organization with a mission of supporting micro-businesses. These entities are our partners in an effort to share a holistic Community Economic Development approach to the growing and entrepreneurial communities of Arkansas.

Professional and Workforce Training along with Regional Leadership Development are components to any economic development strategy. Coupled with encouraging an environment that nurtures the entrepreneurial spirit that has made our nation great, the Delta Center is able to work with involved citizens to plan for their community’s future successes. The Delta Center reaches out to experts within Arkansas State University and the private sector to facilitate research studies, economic impact analysis, and feasibility studies, gap analysis, and economic forecasting for targeted areas.
