‘Leaning In’ to Encourage Women Entrepreneurs

The Kauffman Foundation recently announced a partnership with Lean In, a nonprofit organization founded by Facebook COO Sheryl Sandberg that is committed to offering women encouragement and support to achieve their goals—specifically to help cultivate more balanced teams and more female leaders and entrepreneurs.

Washington’s Willingness to Send Job Creators Overseas

As elections approach and there is a lot of debate on which is the best road to a robust economy with more jobs, policymakers should take time to listen to the message of the just-released Kaufman Foundation videos on the benefits of high-skilled immigration. With Washington being unwilling to separate the obviously different issues of high-skilled immigration and how to handle illegal immigrants, a net job gain strategy remains hostage to politics as usual in the nation’s capitol.

Kauffman to Air PSA During Super Bowl

For years, anticipation surrounding what commercials would play during the Super Bowl has almost matched that of the game itself. Some spots—like 1984’s Apple: 1984 or 2003’s Terry Tate: Office Linebacker—have so much staying power that you can probably close your eyes and picture them still today (before clicking on the links to watch them on YouTube, of course).
