Entrepreneurs' Movement Launches at Inc. 500

In a piece on the Huffington Post, Carl Schramm, president and CEO of the Kauffman Foundation, outlines the rationale for a new movement to support America's entrepreneurs. Schramm points to the fact that "since 1980, all net job growth has come from businesses less than five years old." Combine that with these statistics -- 80 percent of the American people say they believe the U.S. economy has been and willcontinue to be built by entrepreneurs, and 77 percent saying they thinkwe cannot have a sustained economic recovery without another burst ofentrepreneurial energy -- and that's a pretty convincing argument.

The Kauffman Foundation launched the 'Build a Stronger America' campaign today at the Inc. 500 conference in Washington, DC.

Chris Gardner, entrepreneur, author and the inspiration behind the filmPursuit of Happyness, shared his story for the launch.
