The 112th Congress officially convened in Washington last week. As the Republicans rise to majority status in the House, they assume control of Congressional committee chairmanships relevant to innovation and entrepreneurship policy, including:

  • Small Business Committee: Congressman Sam Graves (MO)
  • Science & Technology: Congressman Ralph Hall (TX)
  • Energy & Commerce: Congressman Fred Upton (MI)
  • Budget: Congressman Paul Ryan (WI)
  • Ways & Means: Congressman Dave Camp (MI)
  • Appropriations: Congressman Hal Rogers (KY)
  • Financial Services: Congressman Spencer Bachus (AL)
  • Judiciary: Congressman Lamar Smith (TX)
  • Education & Labor: Congressman John Kline (MN)
