Posted by: Mark Marich on May 16, 2011 Source: Policy Dialogue on Entrepreneurship

The Ewing Marion Kauffman Foundation announced today that it will award up to 15 Dissertation Fellowship grants of $20,000 each to Ph.D., D.B.A. or other doctoral students for the support of dissertations in the area of entrepreneurship. The competitive program is open to students seeking doctoral degrees from accredited U.S. institutions of higher education. It is intended for students who are in the process of formulating their dissertation proposals as well as doctoral candidates with recently approved dissertation proposals. It is expected that applicants will complete their dissertation during the 2012-2013 academic year. The deadline for this year’s program is September 14, 2011, before 5:00 pm (Central).

The Kauffman Dissertation Fellowship Program was created to help launch a cohort of world-class scholars into the field, laying a foundation for future scientific advancement. The Foundation’s intent is that the findings generated by the program will be translated into knowledge with immediate application for policy makers, educators, service providers and entrepreneurs.
