If you want to succeed as an entrepreneur, which college should you attend? Well, assuming you aren’t a Peter Thiel disciple and agree that entrepreneurs should skip it altogether, it seems like Babson College is your best bet.
Each year, the Princeton Review surveys more than 2,000 schools and comes up with their list of the top 50 entrepreneurship programs in the United States—split evenly into undergraduate and graduate levels. The Arthur M. Blank Center for Entrepreneurship at Babson tops both lists. The school has offered entrepreneurship as a major since 1999, but it won’t come cheap though—tuition for the undergrad program is $41,888 and a bit more at $56,620 for the graduate program.
Schools are evaluated on their programs offerings and academic requirements, the concentration of entrepreneurs among student and faculty; and, activities to enrich entrepreneurs outside of the classroom.
The best bang for your buck has to come from the Rollins Center for Entrepreneurship & Technology at Brigham Young University. The program checks in at #6 for undergrad and #3 for its graduate program—with tuition costing $4,710 (undergrad) and $20,560 (grad). Not far behind Rollins is the UMKC Institute for Entrepreneurship and Innovation at the University of Missouri-Kansas City.
