Entrepreneurship News Roundup: Week of 8/20/10

Posted by: Thom Ruhe on August 20, 2010 Source: e360 Blog

During this week we covered how entrepreneurs in Youngstown, Ohio are bringing success and economic growth to their region by utilizing their local business incubator. We also looked at the University of Arizona’s McGuire Center for Entrepreneurship program, which not only offers a dedicated entrepreneurship curriculum, but also incorporates entrepreneurship classes in a wide range of majors as well.

We also looked at why innovation is thriving at the Mayo Clinic and the elements that have helped the Mayo brothers continue to achieve success. It’s entrepreneurial inspiration like this that inspire programs like Entrepreneurial Learning Initiative (ELI), which provides interactive real-world entrepreneurship education programs to individuals & organizations worldwide.

As a final note, The Kauffman Foundation introduced iStart, an online platform that helps organizations simplify how they market and administer business plan competitions worldwide.
