This sections contains contact information for the 19 Kauffman Campuses. Under a program launched in December of 2003, and as part of its many initiatives in entrepreneurship education, the Kauffman Foundation has directly sponsored interdisciplinary programs at 19 institutions of higher education. There are many established cross-campus, multidisciplinary programs in entrepreneurship an innovation higher education, and several inter-institution programs as well. Compiled here is a list of Interdisciplinary Programs with Significant Law School Involvement.
The following lists some particularly notable AALS sections through which law school faculty and faculty from other disciplines interested in collaborating with law school faculty can exchange ideas on entrepreneurship and innovation pedagogy and scholarship.
Many law schools in the United States offer their students courses designed to help them succeed as entrepreneurs in the practice of law. These range from basic “Law Practice (or Office or Firm) Management” courses introducing students to the basic business concepts involved in starting and maintaining a law firm, to courses with more express emphasis on creative business planning, incorporating entrepreneurial principles into the shaping of innovations in the delivery and marketing of legal services and the effective use of modern technology.
