Christopher Saunders of Shopify will be giving us a talk on Functional Testing, and also the tools that Shopify uses for testing. Alan Gardner will be giving a lightning talk on Impala and Ruby.

There’s a new and exciting project in town. “Soup Ottawa” is a micro-grant event that focuses on two things: food, and funding great community projects. We're looking for creative ideas that would benefit the community, and we want to give you a chance to share your idea with others.

One More Thing started in 2011 and set out to be something different to a traditional programming

Join us for food, drinks and networking (hashtag: #youngtreps), with a mix of students who aspire to be entrepreneurs, and established small-business owners who can talk about their successes and challenges.

As part of the evening, we’ll host a live photo blog on the Globe’s website, and we’ll shoot video with attendees to post in the weeks following the event.
