"We need more startups. A lot more of them," declared Inc. Magazine in their July/August 2010 issue. Now a Tampa author and marketer has declared a national holiday intended to focus all of America's attention on one burning goal: To encourage more startups which will in turn generate the badly needed jobs for our anemic and largely jobless recovery.
"America has been a haven for entrepreneurs since our founding days," says Dan Sherman, president of Peak Performance Media and author of You Can Be a Peak Performer! a guide to creating entrepreneurial success. "What we need to do is call on leaders from every area of government and the private sector to help relight that entrepreneurial flame in all Americans."
The new holiday, National Peak Performer Day on September 28, 2010, will be a catalyst for all of America to celebrate entrepreneurship. The day will focus the country's attention on doing what it can such as creating new regulations, cutting taxes, developing educational opportunities and reducing burdensome paperwork to encourage more people to start businesses.
