Berlin.JS Special Event: apps.berlin.js
Client-side JavaScript applications
apps.berlin.js is a Berlin.js spin-off with a special focus on JavaScript-driven applications (“HTML5 apps”) running in the browser. This includes desktop browser apps as well as mobile apps and games written in JavaScript.
Join us on August 23th, 7pm for the second apps.berlin.js meetup at the co.up co-working space (Adalbertstr. 7-8, 10999 Berlin, third floor).
If you would like to give a talk or start a discussion, please let us know!
There’s also an event page on Meetup.com you might join and acknowledge you’re attending.
Schedule
We really enjoyed the first meetup in May at Moviepilot’s office. Thanks again to everyone who attended! In case you’ve missed it, you can read the slides.
For the second meetup, we’d like to consider your feedback and change the schedule a bit. We’d like to…
•Keep up the high quality, but also lower the entry barrier.
•Attract people who are familiar with developing larger JavaScript apps, as well as people who are new in the apps world.
•Promote discussions and hear more voices from different backgrounds.
Therefore we’re going to have…
•Two slots for 15-20 min talks + discussion and
•Two slots for 5-10 min talks + discussion
Got an idea for a talk? Send us a mail.
We are all awesome!
In the upcoming apps.berlin.js meetings, we’d like to bring people on the stage who haven’t spoken before and probably hesitate to present. Everyone of us does interesting stuff on the interwebs. We want to hear what you have to say!
Are you into HTML5 apps and would like to give a talk, but you’re unsure about the topic or the structure? In the spirit of We Are All Awesome, we’re setting up a mentoring team to answer your questions, give speaking and slidedeck advice, as well as general input.
Just drop us a mail to connect. If it doesn’t work out for the August meetup, no worries, there will be a next app.berlins.js. Take the time you need.
