If we can't pat ourselves on the back, let's at least create the kind of environment where women can pat each other on the back.
We call ourselves "girls" because we're young at heart and we call ourselves "geeks", because we care about the detail, but essentially we're just smart women who get technology. Technology may include programming, engineering, electronics, interactive design, IT management, chemistry, biology and more! We're not prescriptive and are open to suggested topics.
It doesn't matter whether you're a student, in the industry, or seeking intellectual stimulation at any age. We welcome everyone, and fear not, you don't need a PhD to sign up either!
We're proposing monthly meetups, tackling a different theme each month, with three speakers at each event. We hope to offer light refreshments at each event, but these may vary slightly depending on the venue.
