Thank you for your interest in IdeaBounce. Unfortunately, due to unforeseen circumstances, we had to cancel this event.
IdeaBounce is designed to bring like-minded people together to discuss business ideas openly. This event is a fun, fast-paced forum focused on new ideas for businesses, programs, and inventions with a focus on nanoscience & nanotechnology. Students, faculty, entrepreneurs and community members are invited to post ideas and attend a networking reception following the pitches. 15-20 ideas will be pre-selected to give a 2-minute "pitch" about their idea. The top 5 ideas will win $100 and attend a private dinner with the judging panel immediately following the event. Submissions will be accepted through April 16, 2013.
Presented as part of "Research & Innovation Week" at the University of Missouri-St. Louis, IdeaBounce is a collaboration with the Skandalaris Center at Washington University.

ScintMat Nanotube Aquasolv
posted by Sean Dingman
ScintMat makes wonder materials wonderful! Carbon nanotubes have long been a wonder material, with applications from semiconductors, to biotechnology, to advanced composites. Commercial applications are limited by its process ability in green solvents, namely water. Other solutions to solubilize nanotubes are expensive or complex. In conjunction our partner, an expert in hyper-branched polymers, ScintMat believes we have a solution to the nanotube solubility that is simple, effective, safe and low-cost. In order to develop our Aquasolv product we need seed funding to test the concept.

Genetix Fusion LLC - Redefining Transfection
posted by Mohit Patel
Genetix Fusion is a biotechnology company that is introducing next-generation of non-toxic and efficient transfection kits. Transfection reagents available on the market today are limited by the size of DNA, high toxicity, low efficiency and low cell versatility. This is estimated to cost them $6000 and 30 days/year in conducting transfection reactions. To address this need, Genetix Fusion has developed non-toxic and highly efficient Janus Transfection Kit™ based on a platform technology. Janus utilizes new class of chemical compounds & will save researchers 50% cost & 65% of their tim
