NASA's Destination Station Campaign - Meet a Space Scientist and Learn about the ISS

How would you like to learn about the wonders of the International Space Station and hear a space scientist, Liz Warren, talk about what it’s like to work in mission control as the lead of a team that consists of engineers, planners, procedure writers and science support personnel to ensure successful science on-orbit? Here's your chance.

The International Space Station is the most complex scientific and technological endeavor ever undertaken - a peaceful, cooperative effort involving support from five space agencies representing 15 nations.

NASA has created the Destination Station Campaign to raise awareness about the value of space research and the International Space Station to diverse audiences, promote research opportunities aboard the station to scientists, engineers and businesses, and communicate the real and potential impacts of the space station in our everyday lives.

The centerpiece of the campaign is the Destination Station exhibit, which is a multimedia 40’x 40’ display featuring hands-on activities, imagery and audio and visual technology to educate visitors about the space station. It will appear at Fernbank Science Center from April 6 to May 18.

This meetup is one of several Destination Station events that will be held in Atlanta April 15-21. Refer to this PDF for more information.
