Nevada County Hackers Hack Night
Thursday, April 4, 2013
5:00 PM to 8:00 PM
792A Searls Ave, Nevada City, CA (map)
We're near Searls and Ridge Rd, the last driveway on the right near the turnout. Street parking is ok and we're the first building - in the house.
This is the second in our hack night series. Come to Sierra Commons - bring a computer - and work on whatever project you're excited about in a social, but productive atmosphere. There will be no awards or prizes, just a place to work on a project, meet and catch up with other developers, find project partners, and have an evening out. If you need a computer for the hack night, post here beforehand - someone may be able to bring one.
The new Sierra Commons location (see map) is even more accommodating to software development with redundant Internet connections, ethernet wiring throughout the building, and high speed wireless. It also has multiple rooms for those who prefer some quiet time to work.
Attendance is by donation (suggested donation 5-10 dollars - please come even if you can't donate) as Sierra Commons continues to be very excited about hosting us. We are looking for sponsors for some light refreshments, to help support the facility, and to provide some other options for what to have at future hack nights - maybe some speakers, etc. If you or a business you know is interested, please get in touch with Nick Santos via [masked]. No Problem is currently our wonderful sponsor and is dedicated to making this group successful. Rob really wants us to have resources to be a fun group that can facilitate exploration and creative hacking.
Finally, a potential future hackathon is in the works, drop by the hack night to find out more.
