Aston Insights
Aston Insights is a new public lecture series of inspirational speakers brought to you by Aston University. The first lecture will feature Peter Barron, Head of External Relations at Google in Europe, Middle East and Africa.
Google and the Future of News
Peter Barron is a former editor of the BBC2's Newsnight programme, where he was a pioneer of online journalism, and is now head of External Relations at Google in Europe, Middle East and Africa. In this talk he will discuss how the internet and technology are changing the way news is created and consumed, the future challenges and opportunities for the news industry and how journalists can use technological tools to improve their trade.
