INTRODUCTION TO YOUR SPEAKERS:

Brandon Buckingham

Brandon has varied levels of business experience spanning sales, marketing, and operations. He has held a variety of positions at Fortune 500 companies, as well as smaller firms. His interest and passion for entrepreneurial pursuits has been a constant throughout his corporate experiences, dabbling in several real estate ventures as well as a technology start-up, on top of his current pursuits as cofounder of Start Garden startup Hip Shot Dot. Brandon has his BA in Business Mgmt from GVSU, and he has his MBA in marketing and finance from the University of Notre Dame. Brandon resides with his family in Kalamazoo, MI.

Mike Suman

Mike spent many years as a Group VP for $22 billion company and currently holds 51 Patents. He is Author of the Book "Should Your Idea Become a Business?” and hosts a weekly NPR talk show titled "Innovation Talk". Mike currently has five websites selling product as well as a furniture B2B business that just started exporting furniture from Michigan to Japan. He recently acquired a Major League Baseball license, now selling to all 30 teams as well as developed a nationwide distribution network. Mike is a volunteer to many Entrepreneurial Groups throughout West Michigan.

Ryan VaughnRyan Vaughn is the founder of Varsity News Network. VNN's web platform makes it easy for Athletic Directors to manage social communication, and in doing so creates hyper-local media coverage about high school athletics. VNN has quintupled in size over the last 10 months, as Ryan transitioned from a founder-only "sales team" and built a seven-person local sales force across three states.
