How to Charge Your Users

Luke Howes, CEO, GimmeQuotes

Tuesday, January 22nd from 6:30 - 8.00 pm

Directly monetizing from your users is one of the best ways to run an online business. It aligns your business with your users, really helps you hone and understand what is driving your users to use your product, and has much higher margins than indirect methods like advertising.

However, decisions about revenue models and pricing are some of the trickiest issues facing a startup. Get it wrong and you could be sending your startup down a long, difficult (and penniless) road. Get it right and you're on the way to finding a great product or market fit. This class will look at practical models and case studies that you can apply to making the best decisions for your own startup.

In this class you will learn how to:

- Choose the right monetisation model for your business (eg: transactional vs subscription, freemium vs trial period etc)

- Make strategic pricing decisions

- Increase your value perception (instead of competing on price)

- Work with your customers to develop the right revenue and pricing models

Luke Howes is the CEO of GimmeQuotes.com and a director of online marketing company Ibis Group. He founded his first company in 2005 has been hooked on entrepreneurship and startups ever since.
