UI/UX/Brand Design Critique Session
Dario Buzzini (Design Director, IDEO)
Jamie Divine (Product Designer)
Aaron Carambula (Product, Letter, Brand Designer)
Wednesday, January 16th from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm
Are you working on a new web- or mobile-based product and craving design input? Do you want critical feedback on your brand identity or UI/UX? This event will provide individuals or small teams with the opportunity to review their work in an informal environment with our panel regardless of where they may be in the design process -- from early-stage sketches or wireframes to fully functional prototypes or live sites. Presenters will have 10 minutes each to present and discuss their work with the panel; other attendees are invited to sit in and listen.
Due to limited time, we will accept the first 5 teams/individuals on a first-come/first serve basis. Presenters should arrive 15 minutes early with work ready to share on a laptop or jump drive. Presenters should also come prepared to ask a specific design question or speak to a design challenge they're grappling with.
Dario Buzzini is the design director of IDEO.
Aaron Carambula is a product, letter, and brand designer. He most recently helped redesign and rebrand Lore where he was creative director of an integrated design team. Prior to joining Lore, Aaron co-founded the design firm Objective Subject and helped grow it from small web and identity projects to rebranding the AP around the time of his departure. A type & lettering obsessive, he is a co-founder of Friends of Type and a graduate of the Type@Cooper typeface design post-graduate program. He is currently an AIGA/NY board member.
Jamie Divine is a product designer. He's helped a variety of new and established businesses -- including Google, GE, Ditto.me, Boxee, and YouTube -- gain a deeper understanding of their brand and technology, and make their products the kind of products people want to use. He's currently making an iPhone app that you will love.
