You’re invited to the DigitalUndivided's first monthly GROW-Chicago meetup. We’re building a community of digital founders who want to launch and grow technology ventures.
Event Schedule:
7pm - Welcome & networking
7:30pm - Presentation & Discussion
8:30pm - Startup pitches
This event tackles one of the biggest barriers founders face: finding or building a technical team without a technical background. Tonya Sims, software developer and founder of ScoutDriveU, will walk through the tools and services that make up the structure of a modern web application, and how to get started learning to code. Attendees will leave with a basic understanding of web programming concepts include front-end vs. back-end, web stack, CMS, programming languages, APIs, and more. If you’ve been struggling to hire developers, or are considering teaching yourself to code in 2013, you’ll love this talk.
Following the speaker, we’ll have 3 lightning pitches (2 minutes or less) from startups. Those interested in pitching their startups will be able to sign up at the event.
Your Hosts for the evening are:
Luvvie Ajayi, Founder/Blogger at Awesomely Luvvie and Founder of The Red Pump Project, @Luvvie
Tori Dorsey, Founder/Editor at Glasses & Glitter, @LovinTori
Folake Dosu, Founder at The Bottom Line , @FolakeDosu
