Scrum is an agile framework used for creating products. By learning how to apply Scrum to project management, you can deliver valuable products on time and under budget. Scrum is also something that can only be learned by doing, so in this workshop you’ll learn the Scrum framework through practical exercises reinforced with light theory and real-world examples.

PREREQS & PREPARATION

Students should bring something on which to take notes

Students should come ready to be an active participant and to engage

Students may wish to read the Scrum Guide, but it is not a prerequisite

ABOUT THE INSTRUCTOR(S)

Andrew Burrows

Scrum Master,

IBM

Andrew Burrows is a Scrum Master currently working with IBM. Prior to this, he worked in video game development for over 12 years. During that time he shipped on numerous titles, including “The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe”; “Transformers: The Movie”; and “Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone”. For the past five years, Andrew has been working at Large Animal games in New York City, developing social games in a fast-paced, close-knit, agile environment. When not writing bios, Andrew enjoys watching baseball and spending time with his incredible wife and son.
