Launch Detroit
Founder Matchmaking - a DTX event
Are you interested in participating in Launch Detroit, the summer boot camp for student entrepreneurs, but haven’t found a team yet? No worries. Come to the Founder Matchmaking event to meet other student entrepreneurs and to form your soon-to-be, killer start-up team.
To learn more about Launch Detroit, click here.
You should attend this event, if you:
A. Have a business idea but are seeking partners for a team. Come prepared to give a one-minute pitch about your idea. (see below for details)
B. Don’t have a business idea but are seeking to join a team. Come prepared to listen to the business ideas being presented by others, vote for the one that excites you the most, and get ready to join that team.
Guidelines for one-minute pitch presentations:
You will have exactly one minute to present your business idea. No slides, presentation materials or props are allowed. Be succinct and practice it ahead of time.
Be sure to include:
1. Your business idea (What problem does your business solve, or what opportunity do you create?)
2. What are your challenges? (Business plan, finance modeling, marketing, etc.)
3. What upcoming milestones are you working toward?
IMPORTANT: Teams formed during Founder Matchmaking will still need to submit an application and be subject to the admissions criteria for Launch Detroit. To be eligible to apply for the Launch Detroit program, you must belong to a team - no individuals will be permitted.
