Startup Weekend Ottawa is an intense 54-hour event where entrepreneurial individuals of all backgrounds (coders/designers/marketers) come together to collaborate with like-minded individuals and build brand-new, working startups. Beginning with Friday night pitches and continuing through brainstorming, customer validation, business plan modelling and basic prototype creation, the weekend culminates in a Sunday night demo presentation.
Startup Weekend Ottawa is not a typical "networking event". The weekend is centered around action, innovation, and education. Our motto is All Action, No Talk - In other words, Get S**t Done! Whether you are looking for feedback on a idea, to meet a potential co-founder, or a team to help you execute, Startup Weekend Ottawa is the perfect environment in which to test your idea and take the first steps towards launching your own startup. All levels and skills are welcome but many of our attendees are first-time entrepreneurs.
