In this talk, Design & Develop using Statecharts, Manuel Kreutz from ISPRIME will share how his team and he have been successfully using Statecharts to build User Interfaces & Applications, by focusing on the individual states the user and application are in.

Manuel will go over the following points:

- what Statecharts are

- the benefits of using them to build products of any size

- how they make focusing on a great User Experience easier

- structure & build Applications using them

- archive easier to maintain Projects and Software Code bases

- create and use a Statechart using the JavaScript programming language

Examples will be using the Javascript programming language but you are not required to have any Javascript experience and can also use Statecharts in other languages or even on paper to design products. Statecharts can be used to design and develop any kind of system that responds to external events like website gadgets, user interfaces, web & GUI applications, operating systems, missile systems, mobile phones etc.

The talk will be a combination of general introduction and some hands on examples for web application developers. If you have any questions or would like to see something covered please let us or him know!

About the Speaker

Manuel Kreutz (@140am) is originally from Germany and cofounded the web hosting company OXEO in New York, before taking on his current role as VP of Software Engineering at ISPRIME Miami. He brings over a decade of experience in Python and Javascript development, product development as well as first hand knowledge of scaling infrastructure.
