Startup Grind Calgary Hosts Evan Hu Ideaca
Evan is the cofounder of Ideaca, a technology consulting firm that was just acquired. He is a serial entrepreneur who previously co-founded OmniLogic which grew to over 500 staff in five offices across Canada before being acquired in 1998 by PWC. Evan was also one of the original founders of MapleMusic, now Canada’s largest independent music publisher and distributor as MapleCore, and was one of the founding members and Chairman of the charity, UEnd. Evan is a certified executive coach, an Adjunct Professor at the Mount Royal University Bissett School of Business, and is a board member at Startup Calgary and the A100.

Hisham Al-Shurafa, Calgary Chapter Director
Hisham Al-Shurafa is co-founder of Startup Calgary, an entrepreneur-led, grassroots, non-profit organization with the mission to activate startups, connect founders and grow the tech ecosystem in Calgary. He's also an entrepreneur himself, co-founding and running SnapDx and Pixineers. Hisham previously held software and product management positions at Amazon.com and NexJ Systems. Andrew Browne, Director of Startup Grind Calgary
Andrew is the Development Director at Startup Calgary, an entrepreneur led, volunteer-driven movement with the mission to activate startups, connect founders, and grow Calgary's startup ecosystem. He graduated from Mount Royal University with a BBA in General Management and a minor in Entrepreneurship and Innovation. Throughout his time in school he was involved in many initiatives including holding an Entrepreneur in Residents position for the Institute for Innovation and Entrepreneurship during his last semester. He was also heavily involved in Enactus Mount Royal and was an integral part of developing new programs, implementing older ones, and sharing their story on a regional and national stage.
