Edthena is the collaborative educator improvement network. We've developed a SaaS video-collaboration tool which brings the process of observation, feedback and coaching into an online context. From student teaching to formal coaching to professional learning communities, Edthena offers a safe-environment to ask for help.

Imagine mentoring that's just-in-time instead of just-enough. A teacher records herself, uploads the video to our platform, and shares it with colleagues or mentors who leave feedback about what they see.

Ultimately, our technology helps solve for the structural inefficiencies that prevent delivering more high-quality, high-touch support at scale. We enable a two-way market for information and services to exist between experienced educators and those needing to improve.

About the founder:

Adam Geller became involved in the education reform movement as a teacher in the St. Louis Public Schools where he taught as part of Teach For America. Adam first identified video of classroom teaching as a powerful tool for professional improvement when he experimented with recording his own lessons for absent students.

After leaving the classroom, Adam joined the national strategy team of Teach For America where, among his many projects, he helped design a platform which will impact the organization’s training and support paradigm for goals, assessments, and tracking.

Adam has a BA from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and a M.Ed. from the University of Missouri–St. Louis. Adam also is the founder of Teach For Us, a successful social media community for Teach For America teachers.
