Members of Congress are back home for a State Work Period / Constituent Work Week.
A number of hearings are scheduled for the week ahead in both houses of Congress, including one for the Senate Committee on Small Business and Entrepreneurship that examines efforts to encourage entrepreneurship in disadvantaged, rural and traditionally under-served areas.
The 112th Congress officially convened in Washington last week. As the Republicans rise to majority status in the House, they assume control of Congressional committee chairmanships relevant to innovation and entrepreneurship policy, including:
Congress is back in session on Wednesday, January 5, with a new Republican majority in the House of Representatives.
Following two heavy weeks of hearings on both sides of Capitol Hill, Congress is back in their states / districts for the Presidents’ Day Work Period.
