SHARE THIS STAT - When asked about their various motivations to start their new businesses, entrepreneurs surveyed for the Anatomy of an Entrepreneur: Family Background and Motivation study were questioned about the encouragement of co-founders. Forty-four percent of respondents said co-founder encouragement was not a consideration when starting their own businesses, and 13 percent said it was not a very important factor.
