Notable Foundations Join Forces to Support Accelerated Drug Development Model
Entrepreneurs in the business of discovering new drugs could accelerate the process with a different drug development model. That's why the Kauffman Foundation, the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation and the Scott Cook & Signe Ostby Foundation last week jointly announced grants totaling $10.3 million for the Myelin Repair Foundation (MRF). The three foundations announced their support of MRF's unique approach to drug development to make innovators aware of the model and to attract funding from other philanthropies. Read the release>>

Entrepreneurs surveyed for the 2009 Anatomy of an Entrepreneur: Making of a Successful Entrepreneur study indicate the biggest barrier stopping people from starting their own business is their lack of willingness or an inability to take risks - 98 percent said this was an important, very important or extremely important factor.
