Founders School Live Enhances Learning Through Real-Time Events
Even with the most intuitive educational material, sometimes the most important thing a students needs is the ability to ask questions. For entrepreneurs, who are often lifelong learners, this is essential to the application of the material to their business. While online learning can facilitate opportunities to learn lessons anytime, anywhere that might not otherwise be available, the opportunity to engage directly with experts creates important connections and discussions.
Founders School Live are live, classroom-style events with our experts during which they will elaborate on their Founders School lectures and offer one-on-one advice and assistance to the founders present. These events provide the opportunity for entrepreneurs to ask questions and deepen the application of lessons specifically to the ventures with which they’re engaged.
With our Livestream capabilities, we are able to invite Founders School students from all across the globe to participate in our Live events via web if they can’t be in the room (or even the same city) for the event. Founders School Live creates a personalized connection between the founders and the experts, heightening the vitality and essential lessons of the material.
Our upcoming events in Kauffman Labs on Nov. 21 and Nov. 22 coincide with Global Entrepreneurship Week in an effort to increase the awareness and importance of entrepreneurship education in fostering a more robust job growth on a global scale.
November 21: 1-2:30pm CST: Craig Wortmann, Founders of Sales Engine and a clinical professor of entrepreneurship at the University of Chicago—Booth School of Business, asks "How do you work a room during a sales pitch? Or a phone during a cold call? How do you know when you are in a "sales" conversation? And once you are, how do you qualify potential customers and then handle their inevitable objections?" These are some of the most challenging skills and disciplines for entrepreneurs to tackle when they focus on selling. Join Craig to learn how your business can avoid the pitfalls of entrepreneurial selling.
November 22: 10am-noon CST: Nathan Gold is an internationally known presentation coach who will teach you how to engage and captivate any audience whether one or 1,000 people. Entrepreneurs and business people will learn how to design and implement their own specific value statement. A brainstorming exercise will engage all participants in applying new knowledge to the discovery of more compelling ways to articulate the value of what they do and why they do it.
