Life Science Entrepreneurs: Apply for the Newest Kauffman Summit
Thom Ruhe, Director of Entrepreneurship, The Kauffman Foundation
For life science startups, the road to commercialization is typically much longer than that of other young companies that aren’t regulated by the FDA. At the same time, these are the startup that can one day change our world with breakthrough technologies and life-saving drugs. So the Kauffman Foundation is doing something to help entrepreneurs address their challenges and get these innovations to market.
This summer, the Foundation will host the inaugural Kauffman Life Science Ventures Summit. The two-day educational summit will feature industry experts and successful entrepreneurs providing practical and actionable guidance on commercializing innovations in medical device, therapeutics, diagnostics, and digital health. An impressive list of speakers and panelists will be sharing their lessons, advice and insights based on the unique struggles life science entrepreneurs face. And in true Kauffman style, we did our research. Dominique Pahud, director for advancing innovation mentioned in the press announcement that the Foundation surveyed early-stage and seasoned life science entrepreneurs to find out exactly what they consider to be critical needs for starting their companies. The agenda was built around the results to ensure the Summit can produce its own.
If you’re an entrepreneur leading a life science startup I encourage you to submit your application. The Foundation will be selecting up to 200 entrepreneurs to attend. Get more information on the summit and the application.
