Introduction

Accelerators are mushrooming everywhere. What are they? According to Seed-db, which tracks 114 accelerator programmes world-wide, more than 1365 companies have already benefited from such programmes, generating over 3025 jobs. Also worth checking out startup factories and where startups grow together to discover accelerator programmes.

nReduce is an open, collaborative and global incubator founded by Joe Mellin and Josh Schwartzman from San Francisco, USA. nReduce perhaps is the first accelerator of its type managed through a virtual hub with local meetups. Loyally.me, Malinkoapp.com and edocr.com are 3 companies taking part in nReduce programme from the Techcelerate community.

It started as an alliance of hackers/designers/hustlers who have the ability to ship meaningful product updates every week. Together they motivate, learn from each other, and work as a group to help each other succeed.

This is an event not to be missed by anyone who is thinking of or already involved with a techstartup, either as a founder, co-founder or an employee. If you are an investor, this is a great opportunity to discover up and coming tech companies. If you have skills that could help tech companies reach the next step faster, this is a great opportunity to meet large number of tech companies.

Speakers:

Joe Mellin, nReduce, CEO & Co-Founder

Joe has been starting companies since he was 11 years old. He began with an e-commerce pickle business in 1993, later co-founded Proven.com before co-founding nReduce.com. Joe is outcome focused, and between pickles and venture backed internet businesses, he studied Physics at UC Berkeley, worked in international development (Ghana, India & the Philippines) and then received a Masters in Product Design from Stanford.

Josh Schwartzman, nReduce, Co-Founder

Josh is an entrepeneur and web developer focused on Ruby on Rails and iPhone development. Great expertise in communities, scaling, SQL and NoSQL databases, and developing using MVC frameworks.

Andrew Threllfall, CEO & Founder - Malinko

Andrew founded Liquid Bronze, Ruby on Rails software development company in Manchester, UK. In 2009, he launched Malinko, a scheduling and CRM SaaS app. Andrew will share his experience of nReduce programme.

Manoj Ranaweera, CEO and Founder - edocr.com

Manoj is currently in the process of aligning edocr.com to Revenue Performance Management solutions, and especially marketing automation software, emerging from the US. Manoj will share how nReduce is helping edocr.com to become a better product through peer review.

Thomas Salivini, CEO - Construqtive

Thomas founded Construqtive in 2008 having over 10 years experience using business intelligence to provide innovative solutions for enterprises. Construqtive was one of the 3 Techcelerate startups to join the North East based accelerator Difference Engine launched by Jon Bradford. Thomas will share his experience of the programme and how it helped him grow his tech startup.

Colin Tan, CEO - Rentlord

Colin manages product and customer development at Rentlord. Before Rentlord, Colin was a Cambridge Commonwealth Scholar specializing in the intersection between technology and culture. Colin will share his experience with Seedcamp and 500Startups. Rentlord perhaps the only Manchester based tech startup to be admitted to these two accelerators (so far).
