We’ve invited leaders from some of the most ground breaking of these companies to join in a panel discussion and explore how new processes and technologies can be applied to further the growth of artisanship and craftsmanship.
Caroline Drucker is the Country Manager for Etsy Germany. Prior to Etsy she worked as Product Manager and Partner Marketing Manager for SoundCloud, the world’s leading social sound platform. Caroline also has significant experience in media publishing – playing a key role in establishing VICE magazine in the German market; managing the business development for the leading literary and creative quarterly DUMMY and spearheading the digital strategy behind the re-launch of der Freitag, a left-leaning weekly newspaper. She has spoken at many events, most notably an Ignite talk that has had over 30k views.
Jess Erickson is the Berlin Producer for General Assembly, a campus that helps individuals create opportunities through community and education in technology, entrepreneurship and design. She is also the Founder of Berlin Geekettes, a non-profit uniting, mentoring and promoting women in tech of Berlin, Germany. Madeleine v. Mohl, CEO &cofounder betahaus, studied History and German Literature. She has been at the heart of the student agency for political communication Politikfabrik for 3 years. Together with Christoph Fahle she developed and implemented the web 2.0 projects „eu_checker” and „stadtlandplus”. She also worked for the vicepresident of the Bundestag - the Federal German Parliament. Since summer 2008 she develops together with her cofounders the betahaus universe. Special area: startups, community, media.
Nora-Vanessa Wohlert is managing editor of Germany’s biggest online magazine for start-ups and digital companies Gründerszene (www.gruenderszene.de). She coordinates the editorial staff and content and develops new formats and strategies. Her prior journalism, social media, consulting and management experience includes work at fischerAppelt, Roland Berger and for various newspapers and blogs. Nora studied Journalism, Political Science and Islamic Studies at Freie Universität Berlin and lives in Berlin. She tweets at @gruenderszene and @NoraVanessa.
