We named TEDxGrandviewAve in the spirit of Grandview Avenue, that singular street that stretches across Mount Washington. Standing on Grandview Avenue, you can see the history of industry on which we have built nationally recognized brands and nation-spanning companies. You can see the concerted efforts of our fellow men and women manifested in the productive bustle filling stone and steel and glass.
Just as we witness this industriousness in our own professional lives, TEDxGrandviewAve will celebrate how Pittsburgh, as an exceptional whole, stands on the Edge of Innovation.
About TEDx
In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized. (Subject to certain rules and regulations.)
