Welcome to a new year with the London MongoDB User Group! Celebrating that the world didn't end, we have our first user group of 2013.
Our first speaker of 2012 is James Toyer, lead software engineer for Glipho -- The social publishing engine. James will be presenting to the user group on "The importance of indexes in MongoDB".
Glipho use MongoDB to as their primary data store and have used it to increase the speed at which gliphs appear on a writers page, and reduced the loading time of the insights pages.
Volker Pacher of Shutl will be joining us to give an experience report on how they use MongoDB and Ruby.
Are you interested to give a presentation, demo, or experience report at the user group? Want to do a lightning talk (5-10 minute talk on something you've developed) please drop me an email or leave a comment below.
