ABOUT THIS workshop
You know what you want when it comes to designing your site, but what about your users? In this workshop, you’ll get the opportunity to think through your current sites/projects from your users’ perspectives by physically mapping out their concerns in space. Utilizing various techniques to gather user research, you’ll be given an opportunity to practice these techniques in groups, organize the issues you face, and create a plan of execution.
Evaluate core audiences for popular web applications to learn patterns.
Review problems in your own projects.
Gain new paper prototyping skills, along with some apps and methodologies to translate to digital materials
Prereqs & Preparation
Some digital wireframing skills may come in handy if you decide to convert your paper prototypes to digital in class. Please bring a laptop as well as a pen, paper, and markers. Also feel free to bring the problems you need to work out in your product/project - we’ll take a stab at them.
