ABOUT THIS WORKSHOP SERIES
Bring your creative ideas to life with Adobe Photoshop, the professional digital imaging standard, used by photographers and designers who want to perfect their digital images. Photoshop allows you to create powerful images and designs. This workshop is designed to get you up and running with Adobe Photoshop in just three days. The focus will be on step-by-step instruction leading students through the most important tools and concepts in Photoshop.
Monday, 11 March, 6 – 9 pm
Session I [The Basics]
Learn Photoshop interface, basics of Photoshop
Practice editing documents and using tools like brush and gradient
Monday, 18 March, 6 – 9 pm
Session II [Retouching Part 1]
Learn the basics of editing a photograph
Do color correction using adjustment layers
Use clone stamp tool to correct imperfections
Monday, 25 March, 6 – 9 pm
Session III [Retouching Part 2]
Red eye and skin blemish removal with red eye tool and spot healing brush
Do advanced skin blemish removal with Healing Brush
Under eye bag removal with Patch Tool
Body toning with Liquify tool
PREREQS & PREPARATION
This is an introductory course designed for first time and beginning Photoshop users. No prior experience with Photoshop is required for this class. All students must be able to bring a laptop to each class (Mac preferred). You will need to have Adobe Photoshop version CS4 or higher already downloaded on this laptop for the start of class. Camille Murphy Bugden
Designer and Creative Director
Camille Murphy Bugden is a Designer and Creative Director with a specialty in branding and marketing. She has over ten years of experience working in publishing, marketing and higher education. Her former client list includes Sony, HBO, Marvel, Nickelodeon, Penguin Books, Upperdeck, New York City Public Schools, and Barnes and Noble. Camille holds a masters in Communication Design from Pratt Institute. Currently, Camille resides in Brooklyn, NY and works as a designer and creative director on a contract basis. She is also a part-time professor at Parsons the New School for Design and Pratt Institute, here in New York. www.camillebugden.com
